In 2001, the People's Government of Jiangsu Province approved the establishment of Jiangsu Yangzijiang International Chemical Industrial Park as a supporting industrial zone of the Free Trade Zone. The park is a large fine chemical park in the Yangtze River Basin, with a total planning area of 24 square kilometers, a completed area of 1.378 square kilometers. 2014, the park achieved an industrial output value of 61.5 billion yuan, sales revenue of 68 billion yuan, profit tax of 1.351 billion yuan, a total investment in fixed assets of 7.028 billion yuan.
