1、Introduction of the Zone

Approved by the State Council in March 1993, Daxie Development Zone, with a planned area of 35.2km2, including 19.6km2 of land for construction, is a development zone dominated by the port industry, with distinctive features, pleasant to live work. After 22 years of development construction, Daxie Development Zone has developed into one of the three major petrochemical industry bases in Ningbo, the core port area of Ningbo Port an important energy transit base in East China.

Daxie Development Zone has completed fixed asset investment of 49.85 billion yuan, in 2014, it realized total industrial output value of 54.15 billion yuan total financial income of 11.15 billion yuan, which is one of the areas with relatively high investment scale output per unit area in Zhejiang Province. Daxie port area has achieved cargo throughput of 80.52 million tons container throughput of 2.55 million TEUs. Daxie has a permanent population of 47,000 people.

2、Leading Industries

Daxie has formed four characteristic industrial clusters with outstanding agglomeration effect obvious competitive advantages, such as Wanhua Industrial Park, CNOOC Daxie Petrochemical Base, Mitsubishi Chemical Industrial Park, Shebei New Material Industrial Park, etc. Daxie owns 3 million tons of asphalt (i.e., 8 million tons of crude oil processing capacity), 1.2 million tons of MDI, 500,000 tons of caustic soda, 400,000 tons of liquid chlorine, 700,000 tons of PTA, 300,000 tons of PVC, 110,000 tons of polyether, 25,000 tons of PTA. 3、Entry enterprises

CNOOC, Wanhua Chemical, Donghua Energy, Japan's Mitsubishi Chemical, South Korea's Hanwha Chemical, Germany's Linde Gas, Germany's Hansei Petrochemicals, Hong Kong's Lee & Man Group, a number of other world's top 500 companies leading enterprises in the industry are intensively stationed in the city, the four major industrial parks have been formed, such as the Wanhua Industrial Park, the Petrochemical Base of CNOOC Dahe Petrochemicals, the Mitsubishi Chemical Park, the Xiebei New Materials Industrial Park.
