Quangang District is located in the southeast coast of China, the middle of Fujian Province the south coast of Meizhou Bay. The planning area of the park is 29.6 square kilometers, divided into four areas according to industrial layout: Fairyland, Nanshan, Chlor-alkali, Yangyu, 12.82 square kilometers have been developed.

Adhering to the development concept of “big project-industry chain-industry cluster-industry base”, the park plans to form 9 industry chains including diversified olefin raw material industry chain, C4, C5 comprehensive utilization industry chain, ethylene + benzene industry chain, propylene industry chain, benzene industry chain, etc. 9 industrial chains, such as ethylene+benzene industrial chain, propylene industrial chain, benzene industrial chain, etc. The ones that have been put into production are 14 million tons/year of oil refining 1.1 million tons/year of ethylene project of Fujian United Chemical Company, 2 sets of 80,000 cubic meters/hour of air separation plant of Linde Gas, 100,000 tons/year of dimethyl ether of Hengye Chemical Company, 6,300 tons/year of heavy-duty packaging film of Quanning Chemical Company, 120,000 tons/year of polystyrene resin of Hongrun Company, 60,000 tons/year of cyclohexanone of Dongxin Company, 60,000 tons/year of polypropylene resin of Dongxing Company. Ltd., 100,000 tons/year of ionic membrane caustic soda, 60,000 tons/year of polybutylene terephthalate, 40,000 tons/year of propylene oxide, 50,000 tons/year of polyether, 40,000 tons/year of 1,4-butanediol, 100,000 tons/year of styrene-butadiene rubber, 50,000 tons/year of maleic-butadiene rubber of Fuyuan Rubber Company, so on.

There are nearly 30 petrochemical enterprises above the scale such as ExxonMobil, Saudi Aramco, Sinopec, Linde Gas, Hengyhe Chemical, Quanning Chemical, Hongrun, Dongxin, Meizhouwan Chlor-Alkali Company Fuyao Rubber Company, etc. Among them, Fujian United Petrochemical Company Limited is a Sino-foreign joint venture large-scale petrochemical enterprise set up by Fujian Refining & Chemical Company Limited, ExxonMobil China Petroleum & Chemical Company, Saudi Aramco China Company Limited. In 2014, the output value of petrochemicals exceeded 80 billion yuan.
